From Narita International Airport
The easiest way to come from Narita International Airport to Tsukuba is to take a direct bus. Instructions for coming to Tsukuba by bus are given in this page but the time table in the page is outdated. From Dec. 5, 2022, there are five buses per day from Narita to Tsukuba.
If you cannot take a bus, you need to take trains to reach the Tsukuba station.
From Haneda Airport
The easiest way to come from Haneda Airport to Tsukuba is to take a direct bus. Instructions are given in this page but the time table in the page is outdated. From 29 April 2022, there are four buses per day from Haneda to Tsukuba. The buses departs Terminal3 at 9:20, 12:15, 17:05 and 19:05. These buses arrive at Terminal 2 10 minutes after departing from Terminal 3 and another 5 minutes after arriving at Terminal 1.The bus stop Namiki 2-chome is in front of AIST Tsukuba Central.
