Greeting from the Director

Director, YAMAGUCHI Aritomo
Under the AIST’s mission statement, i.e. “Contribution to a sustainable society” we are pursuing the process innovations of chemical and the related industries.
Our main target is to develop production systems for chemicals with efficient energy use and minimum environmental impact.
We have investigated the following core technologies to realize this goal; 1) High temperature, high pressure chemical engineering technology and micro flow technology, 2) Separation technology by using film separation and adhesion absorption process, and 3) inorganic and organic materials processing technology. We also make use of the regional network to achieve the technology transfer with SMEs.
