Research Outline

Aiming to create advanced medical devices that contribute to extending healthy life expectancy and improving quality of life (QOL), we promote device development and foundational technology development with a view toward the social implementation of next-generation medical devices. We are engaged in research and development through medical-engineering collaboration, the advancement of regulatory science for medical devices, and the social implementation of research outcomes through collaboration with industry.

Research Introduction

Creating Advanced Medical Devices
From Basic Research to Social Implementation

Our group is dedicated to creating innovative medical devices that contribute to extending healthy life expectancy and improving quality of life (QOL). Our activities include interdisciplinary collaboration between medicine and engineering based on unmet medical needs, promotion of regulatory science for medical devices, and partnerships with industry, healthcare institutions, and academia. Through these efforts, we aim to accelerate the social implementation of innovative medical devices that address important social challenges.
