Functional Magnetic Materials Research Group
As material contributions to energy issues, we are developing magnetic materials that contribute to the advancement of mobility, and thermal management materials for realizing the thermal circular economy, using metallurgical and chemical methods, as well as creating high functionality through multi-materials.
Group Research Theme
Developing High-Performance Magnetic Materials by Chemical Process
Powders synthesized by chemical process can exhibit unique properties not found in the powders produced by milling process. We are working on development of high-performance magnetic materials through development of new synthesis processes and elucidation of the mechanism of their unique magnetic properties.

Developing Materials for Thermal Circular Economy System
We are working on development of thermal management materials, such as magnetic refrigeration (magnetic heat pump) materials, thermoelectric conversion materials, solid thermal storage materials. Through the development of materials, we aim to realize thermal circular economy system.
