About World Remanufacturing Summit
Since 2012, the summit aims to foster discussions on innovative technologies, systems, and business models for the circular economy, with a specific focus on remanufacturing. Additionally, it seeks to raise awareness of the benefits of remanufacturing for the society as a whole, providing a platform for sharing global perspectives on remanufacturing best practices.

The World Remanufacturing Summit 2026 (WRS26) is hosted by the Remanufacturing Promotion Consortium (RECO) of AIST.
The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) is one of the largest public research organizations in Japan,
focusing on the creation and practical realization of technologies useful to industry and society.
RECO was established in 2024, aiming at bringing together top-level experts on remanufacturing from industry and academia in Japan and beyond.
