The sightseeing tour options are presented below in three categories: Package Tours, Travel Concierge Services, and Nagano Prefecture Area Tours after Industrial Tour Course [C].

Category 1: Package Tours

Travel agencies offer a variety of package tours for visitors who wish to explore Tokyo and nearby destinations. The following options are provided as examples.

Tour A: One-Day Tokyo Sightseeing

For day trips in Tokyo and excursions to nearby destinations, Hato Bus tours are very popular among visitors. Please refer to the following website to search for available tours, dates, and reservation conditions.

Tour B: JTB Sunrise Tours Package Options

The following are examples of package tours offered by JTB Sunrise Tours and available on November 7, 2026.

  • Price per person: JPY 28,000
  • The final day for accepting reservations is five days before the tour.

Category 3: Nagano Prefecture Area

After Industrial Tour Course [C]

For participants joining Industrial Tour Course [C], sightseeing tours departing from Nagano Prefecture can be arranged upon request.

Nagano offers opportunities to experience mountainous landscapes, traditional communities, local culture, regional cuisine, and other attractions before returning to Tokyo or continuing to another destination.

Participants interested in a Nagano sightseeing tour should contact the conference secretariat by September 4, 2026. Early inquiries would be greatly appreciated to facilitate the arrangements.

Advance arrangements may be required depending on the requested destination, transportation availability, tour schedule, and number of participants. The conference secretariat will be happy to assist participants in arranging the tour.

Sample Sightseeing Itineraries

The following are sample itineraries for sightseeing tours in Nagano.

Plan A

  • Day 1: Industrial Tour Course [C] → Transfer to Matsumoto → Hotel → Matsumoto Castle night illumination and dinner.
  • Day 2: Japan Alps Kamikochi walk and lunch → Narai-juku Tour → Limited Express Azusa to Shinjuku.
  • Optional Day: Mt. Ontake → Nakasendo walk from Tsumago to Magome → Nagoya → Tokyo.

Plan B

Customized Travel from Nagano

If you are interested in visiting destinations other than Nagano after Industrial Tour Course [C], such as Kyoto, Kanazawa, or other regions in Japan, please let the conference secretariat know.

Depending on your preferences, it may be possible to arrange a customized travel itinerary departing from Nagano and including additional sightseeing opportunities in other regions.
