Step Height

The calibration of gauge block lower than grade K is widely executed by mechanical comparison. The gauge block under calibration is mechanically compared with a calibrated gauge block. The nominal lengths of these gauge blocks are usually the same and their length difference is small.

For calibration of the mechanical comparator, step height standards are used. We calibate step height realized by pair of gauge blocks and step height gauges.

Pair of gauge blocks (Range: -10 µm~10 µm of difference in nominal length)

Expanded Uncertainty(k=2) Measurement Conditions Accreditation
24 nm for 1 mm of nominal length of standard gauge block.
25 nm for 50 mm
28 nm for 100 mm
Pair of gauge blocks of same thermal expansion coefficients. The nominal lengths is from 0.5 mm to 100 mm. Material: Steel, Ceramics

Step height gauges (Range: -10 mm~10 mm)

Expanded Uncertainty(k=2) Measurement Conditions Accreditation
8 nm
