アクセス Access

If you are coming from the Tokyo area, the following is a typical route.

From Tokyo Station, take a highway bus (Tsukuba Center - University of Tsukuba) and get off at Namiki 2-chome. It is about a 7-minute walk from the bus stop to AIST Tsukuba Central 3. (See 1 below for the highway bus schedule)
From Haneda Airport, take a highway bus (bound for Tsukuba Center) and get off at Namiki 2-chome. (See 2 below for highway bus schedule)
From Akihabara Station, take the Tsukuba Express (bound for Tsukuba) to Tsukuba Station, and then take the free connecting bus from Tsukuba Station to AIST Tsukuba Chuo Daiichi-mae, or take the local bus from Tsukuba Station to Namiki 2-chome. (See 3 below for the free shuttle bus and local bus schedules.)

If you take the free shuttle bus, go to the side of Building 2-1, turn right, walk forward, and you will see AIST Tsukuba Central 3 (Building 3-1) on your left. If you get off at Namiki 2-chome bus stop, enter the main gate and walk straight ahead, take the left road at the fork, and you will see Building 3-1 on your left. If you arrive by car, please enter the main gate of AIST, park your car in the parking lot on the left, complete the entry procedures, and then come to Building 3-1. (Please be sure to make an appointment for a visit when you arrive).
