【Full-field displacement measurement technology】

Full-field displacement measurement technology based on an image sensing technique is useful for monitoring the health of various structures and materials. We have developed a simple and accurate displacement distribution measurement method called a sampling moire method in which fringe patterns are utilized. This technique is applied to deformation measurement of large-scale structures.

Recent research subjects are as follows:
(1) noncontact in-plane displacement measurement using repeated patterns
(2) high-speed strain distribution measurement
(3) three-dimensional shape and displacement distribution measurement
