Video Introduction

【2026/02/27】Look back… and see the journey of 25 years of research… Live broadcast from AIST Tsukuba & Koriyama!【Official AIST】

This video is an archived recording of a Nico Nico Live broadcast held to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in fiscal year 2026. In the first segment, “Bring It On! Toward a Carbon-Neutral Society—Challenges for Zero-Emission Mobility!”, many members of our research group appear and share insights from the field. For those who often hear terms like carbon neutrality and zero emissions but wonder what kind of research is actually being conducted, this program takes you directly into the front lines of engine research.

【2025/03/26】AIST 5th Term GZR Research: Transforming the World with Innovative Synthetic Fuel (e‑fuel) Technologies

This video introduces AIST’s research on liquid synthetic fuels produced from CO₂, water, and electricity. Our group conducts research on the evaluation and combustion of synthetic fuels actually produced, using engines. By considering the entire process from fuel production to combustion, we are engaged in the development of fuel and engine systems aimed at improving energy efficiency. Our group’s segment starts at 10:31.
