Dr. Koji Yamada, a principal research manager of PPRC, has been elevated to IEEE Fellow with a citation for “Contributions to Silicon Photonics”, as of January 1, 2024. The award will be presented at the Optical Fiber Communications Conference (OFC) to be held in March, 2024.

Results of joint research by the University of Tokyo and AIST in which Team Leader Makoto Okano of Hybrid Photonics Research Team participates, entitled as "Photonic Matrix Multiplication using Low-insertion-loss and Non-volatile Ge2Sb2Te3S2 Intensity Modulators," was selected as one of the highlighted presentations and released to the press at the 84th Japan Society of Applied Physics Autumn Meeting 2023.
