About the Nature-Positive Nasunogahara Alliance
As part of our efforts to realize “Nasushiobara,” a sustainable environmental city as outlined in the
“2050 Sustainable Vision Nasushiobara – Declaration on the Implementation of Environmental Strategy,” we
have set the achievement of “Nature-Positive” as one of our goals.
To create a framework where various entities—including companies, organizations, research institutions, and
individuals—can collaborate to achieve a "Nature-Positive" state, in which the region’s natural environment
is healthy, we are establishing the "Nature-Positive Nasunogahara Alliance" in partnership with the National
Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST)
Nature-Positive Technology Implementation Research Center and the National Institute for Environmental
Studies (NIES) Climate Change Adaptation Center.
Through mutual information sharing among participants, we expect benefits such as gaining insight into the
status of the local natural environment and the opportunity to participate in Nature Positive activities. We
also anticipate that these efforts will lead to enhanced social value for the participating companies and
organizations.

News
We received some exciting news from Nasu Takuyo High School, a member of NPNA. On June 23, the award ceremony for the 28th Water Award was held at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, and Nasu Takuyo High School summarized their activities on reintroducing the Miyako Tanago to the wild and breeding tests of the Matsukasa shell. Their project, "Protecting the secondary nature of Nasu-no-ga-hara – Promoting agriculture with the Miyako Tanago as a symbolic species," received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award. Congratulations!
