ABOUT US
Lots of companies and research institutions around the world vigorously research and develop a motor, a battery, and an inverter which are core technologies to sustain electric vehicles. Inside electric vehicles, most of motors are attached an effective “Interior Permanent Magnetic Motor” (IPM). One of the significant parts to govern performance of IPM is a permanent magnet. Therefore, permanent magnets which allow high performance of magnetic properties even under high temperature have been required. Currently neodymium magnets (Nd2Fe14B), being considered as the strongest magnet, have been mainly utilized to IPM, however, many researcher have worked on its magnetic development, and dramatic higher performance cannot be expected any more. Thus, our group aims at achieving success to create brand-new high potential magnets such as samarium-iron-nitride magnets, metastable phase magnets, and nanocomposite magnets as post-neodymium magnets. Additionally, we also try developing new techniques for powder metallurgy because of difficulties of synthesis and sintering of those magnetic materials
