The target of the research team is to provide innovative services in urban space such as 1) navigating human and moving object in an effective and safe way, 2) caring human physiological conditions from a remote site, and 3) providing several kinds of useful information such as human comfort, safety, and road conditions. Our approach to the target is to gather various types of sensory information from microphone array, pyroelectric infra-red sensor array, stereo camera, etc. via wireless sensor networks (Wi-Fi, IEEE 802.15.4), and to analyze the information in a synthetic way by stochastic and statistical methods including machine learning techniques. The services are designed for users without information devices, ones with smart phones, and mobile physiological sensors. |
