The NMIJ/AIST fully provided technical support to NIMT from 2002 to 2008 on its establishment through JICA-NIMT project. A total of 95 Japanese technical experts were dispatched for technical transfer and 36 NIMT staffs were invited to have trainings in Japan. As a result,NIMT established the standards for 42 measurable quantities and 36 of them received accreditation based on the CIPM MRA in the project. To summarize this accomplishment as a milestone in international cooperation,NMIJ published the record booklet in Japanese last year. As this year is the NIMT’s 20th anniversary of foundation,the booklet was translated into Thai and English and they are presented to NIMT on the occasion of the commemoration ceremony.
