On May 7, 2018, Mr. FANG Xiang, Director of the National Institute of Metrology (NIM), China, Ms. LI Hongmei, Director of Division of Metrology in Chemistry and four other delegates visited NMIJ in Tsukuba.
After the welcome and greetings from Dr. Yukinobu Miki, Senior Vice-President of AIST and Dr. Takashi Usuda, Director General of NMIJ, the organization outline of each institution was presented. At meetings with the NMIJ executives, exchanges of opinions regarding the future action plans were undertaken thoroughly and agreed to create a "package" for the realization of sustainable research cooperation.
12 representative laboratories, 3 labs of each research institute in NMIJ, have been prepared for the lab tour program. It was a rather tight schedule, however, the delegates eagerly listened to the explanation of the research content, etc., of each laboratory.
