Biomolecular Evaluation Research Group
Introduction
We are investigating the environmental degradability and biodegradability of films, non-woven fabrics, foam moldings, and composites made of biodegradable materials in the ocean and other environments, and developing technologies to control the acceleration and inhibition of biodegradation. Furthermore, we are developing an evaluation method to accurately and quickly determine biodegradability with the aim of the publication of ISO international standard. We are also involved in the evaluation of useful functional molecules produced by microorganisms, the production of antibodies using genome-edited animals, and the development of evaluation techniques for biomolecules using model organisms such as cultured cells and small fish.
