AIST and AIIA (All India Institute of Ayurveda) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on research collaboration and capacity building in Ayurveda (a traditional Indian home medicine system)

AIST and AIIA signed a MoU on research collaboration and capacity building in Ayurveda on October 6, 2022. AIIA is the apex institute of Ayurveda in India under the Ministry of AYUSH. The signing ceremony was held in AIIA and AIST as an onsite & online hybrid event. From our division, Prime Senior Researcher Renu Wadhwa (Leader of AIST-INDIA Diverse Assets & Applications International Laboratory) and Sunil Kaul (Invited Senior Researcher) visited India (AIIA, New Delhi) and attended the signing ceremony. Under this memorandum, research institutes in India, led by AIIA, and AIST will collaborate to conduct in-depth research to provide molecular evidence to the antistress and antiaging activities of some Ayurvedic principles. The collaboration shall also offer research education and training opportunities for young Indian students.
