The Great East Japan Earthquake that struck on March 11, 2011, caused severe damage to Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, where the AIST Tohoku Center is located. Thank you for your support all over the world. We got the courage to stand up from the difficulties.
We believe that gaining the wisdom and ways to use the resources available in each region will help to reduce any tendency to contend for resources ubiquitous in limited areas. We will promote “Megumi Monozukuri” as a concrete measure we can take in order to realize a planet that is unlikely to compete. This idea is consistent with the spirit of the SDGs.
