AIST and Chulalongkorn University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on social implementation of quantum technology
On July 24, 2026, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, to strengthen cooperation on the social implementation of quantum technology. Through this partnership, Chulalongkorn University and the Global Research and Development Center for Business by Quantum-AI Technology (G-QuAT) will discuss the possibility of jointly advancing the social implementation of quantum technology in both Japan and Thailand, share best practices, and gather knowledge, with the aim of leading the social implementation of quantum technology in both countries around the world. Both parties also agree to conduct workshops, symposiums or hackathons as well as to consider exchanging researchers and pursuing possible joint research projects in areas of common interest. Strengthening the collaboration between the two organizations is expected to lead to new technological developments and market creation in the continuing acceleration of the industrialization of quantum technology.
