    Ecological impact assessment of marine ecosystems

    Ecological impact assessment of marine ecosystems related to marine development such as methane hydrate

    We will acquire environmental baseline data on the marine ecosystem and material circulation in the development area through chemical and biodiversity analyses using environmental samples such as organisms, seawater, and sediments, and will also promote the evaluation of ecological impacts on the marine ecosystem and the improvement of evaluation methods.

    Environmental/ecological/biological evaluation technologies based on biologically relevant substances

    We aim to improve the functionality and sensitivity of rapid and simple measurement methods for biologically related substances such as nucleic acids and proteins, which serve as indicators for assessing the ecological environment, as well as related chemical substances that affect these substances, and to develop fundamental technologies for environmental assessment.


    Functional organic fragment structure design program

    Functional organic fragment structure design program for structural understanding of biopolymers

    We will promote the development of prediction technologies for the infectivity and interspecies infectivity of seasonal epidemic viruses based on structural prediction analysis that focuses on the flexibility of functional protein structures.
