Train

Train is also available and convenient in Japan.
A train comes every 3 to 5 minutes on most routes in Tokyo Metropolitan Area.
From the airports to the venue, trains are also available, however you will need to change trains more than two times.
The nearest railway station for Makuhari Messe is “Kaihin-Makurari” station (Stn. No. JE13) of “Keiyou Line” (Line Code JE). Be careful because “Makuhari” station (Stn. No. JB35) of “Sobu Line” (Line Code JB) is far from Makuhari Messe.

Route map of Tokyo Metropolitan Area etc.

Suica, a pre-payed IC card, is convenient. Suica can be used on all trains and buses in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area except an express bus and most local trains in Japan.
Suica can be obtained at the vending machine of JR or Monorail stations.

JAPAN RAIL PASS, a joint offering of the six companies comprising the Japan Railways Group (JR Group), is the most economical means of travelling throughout Japan by rail.

Taxi

A Taxi is safe and smart transportation. It is important to note that Jpanese taxi doors are operated by the driver from the driver's seat. Please do not pull your own door closed. You can find a taxi at the airports, at railway stations and around the venue easily. Passengers should just pay an amount of money displayed by the meter plus the fee of the expressway. Tipping is unnecessary. Most drivers cannot understand English, so please show a paper on which you wrote the destination. However the fare is not cheap, for example, 15,000 JPY from NRT to Makuhari, 14,000 JPY from HND to Makuhari. Services that carry a passenger with a privately-owned car for payment like UBER is “illegal” in Japan.

Rent-a-car

Rent-a-car is available at the airports, however fare for parking is expensive around the venue, 1,000 to 2,000 JPY per day. Remember that cars drive on the left in Japan. Please be careful.
