    • 1. Positron probe microanalyzer
By using a high-intensity pulsed positron beam with variable incident energy we have developed a technique to measure spatial distribution of defects and vacancies of atomic to nanometer sizes.

    • 2. Standard for the absorbed dose in water for high energy photons from a clinical linac
We have developed a graphite calorimeter and established a standard for the absorbed dose in water for medical use with an uncertainty of 0.8%.

    • 3. Non-destructive and non-contact infrastructure diagnosis
By means of the sampling Moire method we have developed a measurement technique of the deformation distribution of structural objects and applied the technique to the measurement of bridges.

    • 4. Visible and near infrared laser transient absorption spectroscopy
We evaluate the performance of solar cells and organic electronic devices by measuring ultrafast behavior of charged carriers.
