Mission & Objectives
1.Development of Multi-Material technologiesWe are developing new multi-material technologies by utilizing DX technologies such as Materials Informatics (MI)/Process Informatics (PI) and automated experiments, and we are aiming to create next-generation frontier materials, and new joining technologies for dissimilar materials.
2. Contribution to a competitive circular economy society
For realization of a circular economy society, we are developing technologies contributing to Long-life and reliability, Re-use, Upgrade-recycling, Environmental benign for materials.
3. Contribution to resilient supply-chain
We are developing materials contributing to a resilient supply-chain, which can adjust to changes in environmental and social circumstances.
Key challenges of research institute
Development of ceramics, powder, composite materials and joining technologiesWe are developing various ceramic materials, multi-material components, and joining, process, and evaluation technologies by utilizing Materials DX, which contribute to realization of a decarbonization, circular economy society, and next-generation communication technology.
Development of light metals and environmentally benign materials
We are developing new multi-material technologies for environmental benign materials such as light metals and wood materials contributing low CO2 emission during those life-cycle, senser materials improving productivity and quality of life, and interface functional materials.
Development of magnetic and energy-related materials
By using the latest DX technology, we are developing the advanced ceramics and magnetic materials, which are the key to these technologies, such as water electrolysis, which is the core of renewable energy, fuel cells, high-efficiency motors, and magnetic refrigeration technology.
