Mission & Objectives
1.Development of Multi-Material technologiesWe are developing new multi-material technologies by utilizing DX technologies such as Materials Informatics (MI)/Process Informatics (PI) and automated experiments, and we are aiming to create next-generation frontier materials, and new joining technologies for dissimilar materials.

2. Contribution to a competitive circular economy society
For realization of a circular economy society, we are developing technologies contributing to Long-life and reliability, Re-use, Upgrade-recycling, Environmental benign for materials.

3. Contribution to resilient supply-chain
We are developing materials contributing to a resilient supply-chain, which can adjust to changes in environmental and social circumstances.

Key challenges of research institute
Ceramics, powder, composite materials and joining technologiesWe develop functional materials, structural ceramic materials, and joining & process technologies, contributing to the realization of decarbonized society, circular economy, and Society 5.0, utilizing Material DX methodologies.
Light metals and environmentally benign materials
We will develop cutting-edge multi-material technologies—utilizing Material DX methodologies—to create materials contributing to reduced environmental impact throughout the lifecycle, as well as materials designed to improve productivity and quality of life.
Magnetic and energy-related materials
We use Material DX methodologies to develop next-generation batteries and high-efficiency motors—which are essential for renewable energy transition and electrification—as well as magnetic refrigeration technologies, a high-efficiency cooling method attracting significant attention.
