About us

Manipulation Research Group is pursuing research on intelligent manipulation system that has practical applications for various purposes in many fields. The main research topics include advanced 3-D vision, manipulation and motion planning, task teaching, and tactile sensing. They are essential technologies for advanced intelligent robots working in any environment such as factories, homes and outdoor. We are now focusing on improving the accuracy, robustness and flexibility of manipulation systems by closely merging sensing, planning and actuating technologies.
