Overview of Intellectual Property and Standardization Promotion Division
|Intellectual Property and Standardization Promotion Division is responsible for appropriate management of intellectual property rights generated from research results and promotion of national/international standardization activities. Also, we strengthen efforts for integrated promotion of intellectual property utilization and standardization.
Intellectual Property Activities
AIST promotes wide utilization of our intellectual property in many domains and companies with respect to fundamental research achievements. On the other hand, regarding the applicable research results achieved through collaboration with companies, we make intellectual property available in accordance with the intent of collaborating companies.
AIST promotes standardization activities utilizing our R&D achievements. Researchers of AIST have been playing a key role in committees of international standards developing organization such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Also, we are actively promoting standardization research collaborating with companies. → AIST's efforts for international standardization
