A cooperation site AIST established in collaboration with Kyushu University on 11th January 2017 following “A basic policy for relocation of governmental organizations to local communities” released by the Cabinet Office “Machi- Hito-Shigoto Sosei Honbu” on 22nd March 2016. The mission of the laboratory is to conduct researches on fundamental mechanisms of hydrogen embrittlement of metals through nano-meso-macro analyses by fusion of mechanical engineering and materials science for future development of innovative materials for hydrogen with high reliability and low cost.
