Nano-bioanalysis Research Group

Research Outline

We are studying single molecule analysis using advanced optics such as metal nanoparticle, near field engineering and single-molecule fluorescence and fine particle control, such as optical tweezers and optical pressure & microfluidics such as electrophoresis and electro-osmotic flow in micro space. Our research activity was evaluated as several highlighted cover-pages of the distinguished Journals and was also evaluated as several prizes from international and domestic academia.

Furthermore, we are developing single molecule DNA sequencing and optical sorting of particles and living cells using microfluidic chip and single-molecule imaging of cancer-marker in living cells using functional nanomaterials and detection of pathogenic bacteria using a designed surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) to establish a novel visualization technology on the state of health.
