Production of High Quality Adsorbents from Tropical Plants
-I Production of powdered activated carbon-

　A series of basic experiments on the production of activated carbon from tropical woods including a wood waste was carried out using fluidized bed reactors. The raw materials selected by NIST, the counter part institute, from the view point of utilization of unutilized woods and wood wastes consist of 12 spacies of woods and a coconut’s waste(Coir-Dust).
