At the Equipment Technology Committee of The Iron and Steel Institute of Japan, Deputy Laboratory Director Masui presented the achievements of the laboratory during its first phase, which concluded in the previous fiscal year. Participants raised highly specific topics of interest, including examples of industry initiatives to promote component reuse, current perceptions regarding changes in consumer environmental awareness, and measures to address tramp element accumulation in a future with increased recycling.
