The Geoinformation Service Center (GSC) is a unit of the Geological Survey of Japan (GSJ),
one of the research domains of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).

Mission
GSC is in charge of properly managing geological information obtained by research units in GSJ, making it available when needed, and promoting its use in society. Between researcher and public users GSC roles as a linkage by publishing research results and providing data, user information and dissemination services.
Organization
GSC consists of four offices, each of which is responsible for a major task.
Public Facilities
Geological Museum
It is unique as a specialized museum of geology in Japan, and displays a large number of specimens and research results collected and produced by activities of GSJ.
Geological Map Library
GSJ holds geological maps collection published by GSJ or geological survey organizations around the world.
