Dye-sensitized TiO2 based photoelectrochemical cells
Hideki Sugihara
NIMC
Solar cell technology is one of the most promising key technologies for sustainable human society.
Recently, much attention has been paid on the solar cells based on dye-sensitized nanostructure TiO2 electrodes.
New series of ruthenium complexes were produced and examined as photosensitizer at NIMC. Organic dyes were also
examined. Both type of photosensitizers showed interesting results.
The author will present a short overview of this technology and the results obtained so far at NIMC.
