The National Institute of Materials and Chemical Research (NIMC) has launched a five-year (1997-2001) research project on photon technology, the "Photoreaction Control and Photofunctional Materials", funded by Japan's Center of Excellence (COE) Development Program of the Science and Technology Agency (STA).
The project consists of six research subjects,
1) Photoreaction Mechanism
2) Light Energy Conversion
3) Laser-induced Reaction
4) Photonic Materials
5) Photoreactive Materials
6) Photon-beam Analysis.
The First NIMC International Symposium on Photoreaction Control and Photofuncional
Materilas (PCPM'98) is held in conjunction with this research project.
The aim of this symposium is to stimulate and foster discussions among leading researchers in photon technology. We shall welcome papers related to photoreaction control and photofunctional materials, and look forward to the symposium attracting a large number of participants
associated with this important branch of science
