Functional Materials Processing Group

 We are developing new processes, such as ultra-small microwave-irradiation process and fiber-adhesive process with carbon dioxide, and developing functional materials using them for innovation in chemical processes.

Main Research Subjects

1. Small microwave-irradiation device

We have developed a small microwave-irradiation device and succeeded to produce hydrogen. We are working on the development of microwave reactors for laboratories and the creation of functional particles and fibers using these devices.



2. CO2-assisted polymer compression method

We have developed a technology for fiber adhesion using only carbon dioxide without using heat or adhesives. Since it is possible to control physical properties such as porosity and to easily incorporate drugs, it is expected to be applied to medical, industrial, and daily products.
