研究概要

研究開発:幹細胞工学は再生医療だけでなく、創薬や食品開発など様々な研究分野に貢献することができます。当グループでは幹細胞を使った細胞誘導法や、機能的システムの生体外再構築法の研究開発を行っています。
技術支援:当研究グループでは、基盤的研究に加えて、民間企業や大学・研究機関からのご要望に応じた共同研究や技術コンサルティングを行っています。

研究課題

研究課題1:生体外自律神経ネットワークシステムの確立
研究担当者:木田 泰之、髙山 祐三、赤木 祐香、二橋 佑磨

例えば、食品は自律神経系である迷走神経を介して脳機能や全身の生理機能をコントロールしています。このような自律神経機能は交感神経と副交感神経のバランスに依存してます。動物愛護の観点から、身体の生理機能を生体外で再現する動物実験代替法の開発ニーズが高まっています。我々はヒト幹細胞からの交感神経と副交感神経を誘導する方法を開発しました。本研究課題では脳腸相関などの生体の迷走神経路を模倣する動物実験代替法とその評価法を開発します。

研究課題2:がん微小環境再現モデルによる革新的がん治療法の開発

難治性固形がんである膵癌では、がん間質の線維化が障壁となり、治療薬が腫瘍の深部にまで浸透しないという間質バリアが治療の課題です。我々は、がん関連線維芽細胞や免疫細胞で構成されるがん微小環境を研究するための実験系構築を進めてきました。本研究課題では、がんの基盤研究や治療法開発、診断に向けた細胞誘導法や3次元組織構築法を開発します。
