Outline

- Aiming for development of new technologies required in drug discovery and regenerative medicine and their practical application -

Medical practice demands the early detection of disease and the reversal of abnormal causative factors. In the Biotechnology Research Institute for Drug Discovery, we aim to utilize our expertise in "Glycoanalysis" and "Establishment, standardization, and differentiation of human stem cells" in:

 1. Discovery of glycobiomarkers and development of diagnostic agents for diseases, including cancer, based on the differences in glycoforms, identification of disease-target glycoproteins, and development of therapeutic drugs.
 2. Development of technologies for the generation and differentiation of safe human stem cells for application in drug discovery screening and regenerative medicine.

We will promote development of new technologies for drug discovery and regenerative medicine and commercialization of the achievements in collaboration with industry.
