Computational Regulatory Genomics Research Group

We develop innovative bioinformatics technologies to facilitate application of genomic information to improve our health care and to respond to industrial needs.

Group's Research Theme

Ultra-fast and Highly Accurate Sequence Search

Ultra-fast and Highly Accurate Sequence Search

With individual and tumor DNA sequencing on the verge of becoming standard medical procedures, genomic information is expected to facilitate early diagnosis and more-effective, individualized treatment with fewer side effects. Accurate and fast sequence comparison is an essential computational technology for this medical revolution.

Genome Sequence Design

Genome Sequence Design

By using the genomic information of many organisms, we can optimize micro-organisms that are capable of producing antibodies and useful metabolites. To increase the production of antibodies and metabolites, we are developing a new sequence design technology that considers mRNA secondary structures, codon usage, and mechanisms of gene regulation.
