Abstract

In this paper, Meteorological data, emission data, landuse data and population data around Guangzhou city were collected to be used in ADMER model. SO2 and NOx (NO, NO2) emissions from the industrial sources (e.g. big electric power plant) and mobile sources (all kinds of vehicles) are the main pollutions in Guangzhou city. The concentrations of these pollutions for a 5~5km square grid spatial resolution of 6 time zones (4 hours average) for a month were estimated using AIST-ADMER model. The results of the ADMER model in Guangzhou city were compared with the observed data from Guangzhou environmental monitoring station. It can be seen according to the comparison results that the simulation was successful. Besides the concentrations, the size and location of population exposed to pollutions were also estimated.
