In succession to Research Center for Glycoscience
(April. 2002-Nov. 2006), Research Center for Medical Glycoscience
(RCMG) was newly established to conduct research which emphasizes
on the coordination between two research fields, medical science
and glyco-engineering. Our research objective is primarily to discover
biomarkers, which are the main theme of NEDO Project started in
2006. In collaboration with corporations, universities and medical
institutions, we work on the development of effective biomarkers
for cancer and regenerative medicine, immunological and infectious
diseases, as well as on the development of diagnosis system along
with the formulation of the basic grounds for drug development.
In addition, we share our research outcomes worldwide as well as
give them back to society through the construction of database
“ Integrative Database of Glycomics “ and collaborative activities.
We are establishing our status as a hub organization of
glyco-research. |
