The main topic of the interaction modeling research group is the interaction
between humans and robots. Statistical model for the dialogue between robot
and humans, especially elderly people, is constructed and the system providing
services based on the model is developed. As an interaction tool, the dialog
engine “SEAT/SAT” which can be used on the RT middleware has been developed.
The current research subjects include optimization and verification of
the interaction strategy, implementation of the interaction system on robot
platforms, and experiments in real environments.
