The 2005 World Exposition, Aichi, Japan
Prototype Robot Exhibition, form 9th to 19th of June, 2005

The 11-day exhibition, in EXPO 2005 Aichi, was successful, with more than 200 demonstrantions (self-reconfiguration and locomotion) in front of large crowd of visitors from all over the world.

Regular demonstrations (10 min.) were scheduled three times a day, during which following four types of robots performed locomotion and self-reconfiguration (Demonstration movie2 35MB).

• four module walker self-reconfigures to a linear shape (autonomous Movie 5MB)
• eight module walker self-reconfigures to a linear shape (autonomous Movie 5MB)
• 10 module spider-like walker (manually controlled to switch moving direction Movie 2MB)
• 9 module four-legged walker change to flat shape and to a crawler (manually controlled Movie 4MB)
