Vision and Manipulation Research Group is pursuing research on intelligent manipulation system that has practical
applications for various purposes in many fields. The main research topics include advanced 3-D vision, manipulation
and motion planning, tactile sensing, and
intelligent manipulation based on task and
motion primitives. They are essential
technologies for advanced intelligent robots
working in any environment such as
factories, homes and outdoor. We are now
focusing on improving the accuracy and
robustness of manipulation tasks using
multi-sensor information in order to enlarge
robots' sphere of activities.
