There are growing demands for mobile assistance system in outdoor human activities such as transportation of
people and goods, heavy physical labor, hazardous work, etc. The Field Robotics Research Group aims at realizing
such assistance in outdoor environment through technologies of environment recognition, localization, navigation,
human machine interface, ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems), aerial transportation, decentralized cooperation
control, mobile communication,
dynamic network construction, etc.
