- Research and development aimed at realizing coexistence of economy and environment and improvement of quality of life.
- Research and development for the new measurement standards and precise geological information.

TypeB research scientists: Approximately 7 for all type B research scientists recruitment.
TypeC research scientists: Approximately 5 for "Metrology and Measurement Technology".
