Notice

Research Core for Explosion Safety was abolished on October 1. 2011.

It was established in 2007, to cope with social needs for "conducting researches on ignition of chemicals, explosion safety, and prevention of explosion disasters."
In 2008, Research Institute of Science for Safety and Sustainability (RISS) was established and the Core was merged into RISS.

The experiment on Safety Techniques of Explosives was made in Hokkaido, in cooperation with Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Society of National Explosives Security (Corp.).

13-14. Sept. 2004 At Taiheita Mine (Hitachi Cement Ltd. Hitachi City, Ibaraki Pref.), we performed the experiment to judge the danger degree of explosives, based on the "Rules of ship transportation and storage of hazardous materials", which is revised January in 2005.(Joint Research with Nippon Kaiji Kentei Kyokai).

16 Nov. 2003 The parallel computer that was constructed by our center was ranked No.351 among the world's TOP 500 Supercomputers (SC2003 Conference in Phoenix AZ, USA)
