Thermoelectric Energy Conversion Group
- Utilization of Waste Heat by Thermoelectric Generation System -
visit this group's page
Thermoelectric conversion system, which converts heat into electrical energy by special semiconductors or metals, can utilize the waste heat which exists in distributed sites. Our research has been directed toward development of materials which have high conversion efficiency and good understanding of the physics lying behind them. The pictures show experimental thermoelectric materials specially developed for power generation. We also try to establish the evaluation technique of thermoelectric devices, which is important for practical application.
