Fuel Cell System Group
- For Establishment of Efficient and Flexible Solid Oxide Fuel Cells -

Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) have been expected to contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emission and to saving primary energy. We have implemented R&D for evaluation technologies of cells and systems and for standards and codes to support development of practical SOFC systems and promote early commercialization of SOFCs. In addition, we carry out basic researches to clarify possibility and subjects to be solved for development of next-generation SOFC such as SOFC systems with higher efficiency or CO2 capture and sequestration (CCS) technologies.
