Energy Interface Technology Group
- To develop reproduction energy and environmental safeguard technologies based on surface and interface science of functional materials -

For the sustainable society, the seeds of innovative energy technology and the creation of environmental safeguard technology are necessary.

We are investigating the Physical and chemical phenomena, such as the adsorption-desorption, insertion-extraction, reduction-oxidation, injection-recombination and transport-diffusion of electron, hole, ion and molecule on/or across the interface among solid, liquid and gas phases, to design and develop new type clean energy devices and environmental safeguards technology.

The new type clean energy devices are focused on fuel cell, rechargeable battery, lithium ion battery, dye sensitized solar cell, photo-catalysis and other electrochemical energy conversion device.

The environmental safeguards technology includes environmental detector, super-hydrophobic technologies based the new concepts.

About some technologies, we are developing them in cooperation with industry to satisfy social needs.
