Energy Technology Data Base: ENERGY TECHNOLGY DATA BASE has numerous technological data concerning energy supply, energy transportation and energy demand. Originally this data base has been constructed in order to make a long-term analysis on Japanese energy system using "MARKAL" model, which has been developed by the international cooperative project "ETSAP (Energy Technology Systems Analysis Project" established by IEA (International Energy Agency).
This data base is useful not only as input to the MARKAL model but also as general information about energy technologies. We hope this will help your interest for energy.

Superconductivity Papers Database ( in English ): This database covers mostly the articles on superconductivity appeared after the advent (1987) of the high Tc in 20 - 50 scientific journals including review papers. In the field of organic conductors, literatures are traced back to the era of TTF-TCNQ (in the 1970s).
It contains 1) High Tc, 2) C60 related, 3) Organic Conductors, 4) Non-Oxide Superconductors including the conventional superconductors, 5) Oxide Conductors, 6) Theory (new field since September 1997).
Thermal properties of plastics ( in Japanese ): Thermal properties of common-use plastics are tabulated.
Listed properties are; specific heat, heat of fusion & vaporization, temperature range of fusion & vaporizaion or decomposition.

Listed plastics are; polyethylene (PP), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyvinylchloride (PVC), nylon11 (PA11), nylon12 (PA12), metacrylic resin (PMMA), polyvinylalcohol (PVA), polyvinylbutyral (PVB), polyvinylformal (PVF), polyethylene terephtalate(PETP), polyacetals (POM), polybutadiene (butadiene rubber), polybutene, ABS, polyvinyl acetate (PVAC), cellulose acetate (CA), polycarbonate (PC), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, Teflon), melamine resin (MF), urea resin (UF), phenolic plastic (PF)
Operation Database on the 0.1 t/d Coal Liquefaction Bench Plant ( in English ): This database reported the operation results of 0.1 t/d coal liquefaction bench plant at HNIRI under Sun-shine program of MITI. The 0.1 t/d bench plant has been operated several thousands hours until 1996, and the results that operated in between 1980 and 1987, were summarized and reported.
Physical properties of gas hydrates ( in Japanese ): Gas hydrates are clathrate compounds in which the gas molecules are trapped into well-defined cages formed by the water molecules. Recently, natural gas hydrates is found over the world, especially under permafrost and offshore areas. In this data-base, properties of gas hydrate that has been taken in HNIRI will be mentioned for the R & D on geological survey and engineering application.

Database for Engine System (in Japanese ): A database in the field of engine research carried out in Mechanical Engineering Laboratory. It includes the fundamental database (composition analysis of various fuels, combustion mechanism and emitted materials, fuel spray and automization), engine experiment database (visualization database of in-cylinder charge flow and combustion), engine simulation (analysis of engine combustion, analysis of in-cylinder flow), and literature survey (literature database mainly concentrated on alternative fuel research).

PEGASUS (PEformance and Geometry of Airfoils SUpply System) ( in Japanese ): Database of wind turbine airfoils. 30 airfoils are tested. Contour and performance ( Cv, Cp, Cd, drag distribution, lift/drag ratio ) measured with windtunnel are listed.
