The
mission of the Biomass Technology Research Center is to establish
economical technologies for utilizing woody biomass from forests and so on
that among biomass resources fixes the greatest amount of carbon, in order
to contribute to achieving the proposed targets for reduction of carbon
dioxide emissions in the Kyoto Protocol, and to promote the prevention of
global warming thereafter.
